The story of the series is pretty interesting and relatable and revolves around Retsuko who is a 25-year-old red panda who is employed at a Japanese accounting firm. She tries her best to navigate her life with confidence but the typical problems faced by the youth of the 21st century haunt her. To avoid her frustrations she attends a Karaoke bar every night and sings death metal.

Retsuko is so relatable because it is an anime that shows the life of an ordinary teenager in Japan and most youth watch this series out of attachment and for fun. Due to her social anxiety and other issues, she messes up at work a lot of times, and sometimes even her job seems to be in danger.
She finally realizes that she should get married and perhaps raise a family. But, her mental issues and inner fears stop her from getting the happiness she’s always looking for. Will her dreams come true?
